What Coverage is right for you

A little preparation goes a long way

We want your plan to fit your needs. By investing a little of your time making a list of possessions or staying abreast of local building costs, and remembering to meet with your agent annually to review your policy, you can help us customize the coverage that’s right for you.

Food for thought

  • Have local building costs risen?
  • Has your home been remodeled or expanded?
  • Do you have an inflation guard built into your protection?
  • Is your insurance coverage adequate?
  • Do you know what your insurance deductible is?
  • For most homes in Florida it is 2 percent of the policy limits, not $500 or $1000 like your auto insurance.
  • Do you have money set aside to cover the deductible if you have a loss?
  • Should you consider extended replacement cost coverage?
  • Do you have enough protection to rebuild your home?
  • Do you have an inventory of your possessions?
  • Do you need additional coverage for assets like jewelry, art collections, fur coats or other expensive items?
  • Do you need replacement cost or actual cash value coverage for your possessions?
  • Do you need coverage for additional living expenses after a disaster?
  • Do you need federal flood insurance?
  • Standard homeowner policies do not cover damage from floods, including storm surge from a hurricane.
  • Do you have extended replacement cost coverage?
  • Have you added pets?
  • Do you need liability insurance for your pets?
  • Do you need an umbrella or excess liability policy?
