Florida Peninsula named one of South Florida’s 2013 Best Places to Work

Florida Peninsula Insurance Company, one of the top 10 largest homeowners insurance companies in Florida, was selected by the South Florida Business Journal as a finalist for its 2013 “Best Places to Work” awards. This is the second consecutive year Florida Peninsula was selected for this honor. The company was ranked No. 12 for the medium-sized business category and was recognized February 21 at an awards ceremony in Fort Lauderdale.

“In order to provide the best service to our customers, it’s important to promote a positive environment in our own office,” said Stacey Giulianti, Chief Legal Officer of Florida Peninsula. “We believe in treating our employees like family, with respect, dignity and fairness.”

Florida Peninsula offers its employees competitive salaries, flexible work schedules and a comprehensive benefits package. The company also provides tuition reimbursements and discounted commute options through a partnership with Tri-Rail.

In order to determine finalists, the South Florida Business Journal sends out employee surveys. Once the results are tabulated, the responses are used to determine the most progressive and positive employee-focused workplaces. Hundreds of businesses vie for this honor but only a few are chosen in each category.

Florida Peninsula focuses on home, condominium and renters insurance and serves more than 150,000 residents statewide. The company was recently honored at CSC’s 2012 Connect for Property and Casualty (P&C) Awards, which acknowledges P&C insurance carriers who have advanced innovation and improved efficiency in using CSC’s products and services.
