September is National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month, serving to remind the public to be prepared for natural disasters and emergencies. While living in Florida comes with many advantages, residents are also prone to the threats of severe weather and hurricanes. We encourage you to take this month to be proactive with all your disaster plans. In honor of National Preparedness Month, Florida Peninsula would like to provide you with the following emergency preparedness tips:

- Be sure your emergency supply kit is fully stocked.

-  Create and practice your emergency plans with your family. Be sure to include all types of emergencies including hurricanes, fires, floods, power outages, etc. Should you need assistance with creating an emergency plan for your family or business, visit floridadisaster.org.

-  Review your insurance policies. Should you have questions about coverages, or to make any changes to your policy, contact your agent.
